Talk to Us About Selling RECs

What Are Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs)?

Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) represent the environmental value of clean electricity. Every 1 MWh of solar energy generated equals 1 REC. Businesses aiming to meet sustainability goals purchase RECs from solar system owners — helping to reduce emissions, support Singapore's green efforts, and enhance the financial returns of going solar. RECs allow solar panel system owners to earn more from clean energy without affecting their solar savings.

Why Sell Renewable Energy Certificates in Singapore?

Selling your Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) is a smart way to generate additional income from your solar system, while supporting the global shift to clean energy.

REC prices vary based on market demand, which means you have the opportunity to capitalise on rising interest in sustainable energy sourcing.

In Singapore, there are two internationally recognised REC registries:
1. I-REC (International REC Standard) |2. TIGR (Tradable Instrument for Global Renewables)
issued via APX. Both platforms allow solar system owners to certify and sell their RECs with confidence and traceability.

Very satisfied with the customer service. Elton and team are responsive and professional. Installation was carried out over three days and very smooth. I was impressed that the installers even painted the cable casings to match the walls. Overall a very pleasant experience with GetSolar.

Installers were very efficient, attentive and friendly. They budgeted 3 days to install the system but took 2, and they were also fussing over the little details to ensure that the installation was done well for me. Very happy with the outcome.
